If you're looking for quick tips, instant results and short-term shortcuts, I'll save you the time: this is not the place.
These words are written by a human being (me, Julieta Pizarro). This is a space where I present myself to offer you help and guidance from my years of study and teaching experience, on the path of exploring, knowing and improving your singing according to your own goals, needs, desires and possibilities. But above all, in proportion to your commitment and dedication (I don't know a single person who, dedicating time to practice, hasn't significantly improved.)
When my web manager (Nicolás, my life partner) asked me what I wanted to communicate on this page, I didn't hesitate for a second: HUMANITY. A real proposal from a real person to real people. To offer myself as a person to accompany from a human pedagogical role, in the encounter with others who wish to develop their voice. Understanding that singing is not the result of an instrument without soul, without emotions, without life experiences or nervous system. On the contrary, the voice is a gift of evolution, exclusive to human beings, that made us primarily social beings.
And singing, an even more special gift: a way to communicate through the sensitivity of music, to express through sounds what we often cannot say in any other way (like when we play a song so we can cry).
In recent times I have seen, exponentially multiplying on "social media" and elsewhere, supposed "methods", "masters" and "coaches" selling vocal education as a product. They ridicule themselves in flashy reels for more engagement, or bombard you with clickbait emails: "this trick changed my voice in 24 hours". Or, the ultimate, proposals generated 100% by artificial intelligence.
It deeply upsets me to see how our noble mission of educating and accompanying is turned into a soulless commercial product. That's why I decided to go back to basics: to the analogue, to souls. To rescue the human over AI. Communication over the algorithm. Music over noise.
If you feel addressed by these words, you're surely a human being… and already passed the anti-bot test. Write to me and we'll talk.
A big hug.
— Julieta
My name is Julieta. I'm a singer, songwriter and vocal coach. I've been guiding vocal and technical development processes for fifteen years.
My approach is based on many years of study and practice of the Functional Voice Method (by Eugene Rabine), which is rooted in anatomical, physiological, psychosomatic, acoustic, and musical studies, among others.
Write to clarify your doubts or schedule an interview to get to know each other and experience what the proposal is about.
More about me →In this approach, the voice is not seen as an isolated laryngeal process, but as the result of systemic coordination. It's not about "placing" the sound, but about eliminating the muscular interferences that prevent the system from functioning. Body movements are used to distract habitual tensions and allow the respiratory and vocal muscles to act spontaneously.
Unlike other methods that require following an external model (imitating the teacher), here the axis is proprioception. The student learns to listen to their own body's signals and to distinguish between healthy effort and unnecessary tension. The teacher doesn't give rigid orders, but proposes experiences that help the nervous system "relearn" a more efficient phonation.
The method is supported by key scientific concepts, such as the double laryngeal valve theory or the inspiratory tendency. It is understood that if the air intake is enabled by a body whose muscular chains are available, the vocal cords can vibrate without excessive pressure, which guarantees vocal efficiency and enjoyment. Each exercise has a physiological basis that respects the natural design of the vocal instrument.
My lessons are dynamic and unstructured, but without losing focus on your vocal and interpretive development. You'll learn to sing by developing your awareness of vocal function, which will enable you to efficiently coordinate the elements involved in singing.
You'll observe significant improvements in your technique and performance through vocal exercises and the development of your self-observation skills. This will allow you to understand firsthand the best way to unleash your voice with more quality, comfort, and without physical effort or harm.

None. Most of my students arrive having never taken a class. The voice is not an exclusive club.
They're not the same — they're different formats, each with its own pros and cons. Online lessons let you be in your own space, relaxed, no commute. I've been teaching online for over ten years and the results are excellent. All you need is a good internet connection and a space where you can sing comfortably.
The method promotes learning and the hierarchy of vocal function through awareness and proprioception, conceiving the voice as another body movement that expresses itself through sound.
It starts from the principle that all muscles are interrelated, so coordinated growth of a small group is only possible when the whole body is involved.
This learning theory about vocal function includes a pedagogical method and vocal training based on these principles, helping us explore our expression and creativity through movement, sound and music.
I work mainly with popular music, from folk, rock to pop, soul and R&B.
I teach in Spanish and English. You can choose the language you prefer for explanations, exercises and repertoire.
From anywhere in the world. I currently have students in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, Switzerland, Australia, and several countries across Latin America, Europe and Asia. All you need is an internet connection.
Yes. The functional approach is especially suitable for people with dysphonia, vocal fatigue, nodules or other difficulties. We work from perception and body care, without forcing. In some cases a prior medical diagnosis may be needed.
Depends on your practice between classes. Without practice, no miracle. With honest practice, in a few weeks things already feel different.
There's an initial interview for you to get to know me, for me to get to know you, and for you to experience the class dynamics.
You made it this far.
